For the T-Ball, Coach Pitch, and Minor divisions, games played prior to March 21st are considered developmental games with special rules.  Any rule changes after the developmental games will have the changes in bold.

TB

  1. No new inning (NNI) after 50 minutes and drop dead time of 55 minutes.  The NNI rule starts from the scheduled game start time.
  2. No outs for games played prior to March 21st.  Beginning March 21st - sit kids if they are out on the bases.
  3. Bat through the lineup each inning.
  4. Balls hit right in front of the plate are considered foul if they do not make it to the infield grass.
  5. Home team is responsible for lining and raking the field before the game and visiting team is responsible for raking the field after the game.

Coach Pitch

  1. No new inning (NNI) after 50 minutes and drop dead time of 55 minutes.  A new inning begins as soon as the third out is made the prior inning.  The NNI rule applies from the scheduled game start time.  Ten run rule applies (Rule 4.10e)
  2. The coach of the offensive team will pitch to his own players.  The coach may stand or kneel on the mound (the dirt).
  3. Each batter will receive 4 pitches and then get three attempts from the tee.  Beginning March 21st - each batter will receive 5 pitches or three strikes.  If the batter fouls the last pitch they get another one.
  4. Bunts are not permitted.  Batters are not permitted to take a half swing.  If the umpire feels the batter is taking a half swing, the batter may be called back to swing again.  Rule 2.00 “Bunt”.  Balls hit right in front of the plate are considered foul if they do not make it to the infield grass.
  5. All players on the roster will be in the batting order.
  6. Each team will bat until the defense gets three outs or the offense scores 5 runs.
  7. Base runners must stay in contact with the base until the ball is hit.  When players have advanced as far as possible without having been put out or having been retired the umpire shall call “time” and the ball will be given to the coach on the mound (Rule 7.13)
  8. All games will use a soft core baseball.
  9. No infield fly rule.
  10. All players are allowed on the field on defense but any extra players must play in the outfield.  Beginning March 21st – teams with  9 or more players must use a fully suited catcher.
  11. The runner or runners will be permitted to advance at their own risk on an overthrow that remains in play but not more than one base.  To clarify, if the throw is missed at first base, the player can advance to second base but not beyond unless there is also an overthrow at second base.  If the ball is overthrown to second base, the player can advance to third but not beyond, etc.
  12. Coaches on the mound must attempt to avoid being struck by the ball.  If a batted ball hits the coach on the mound, the ball is dead.  The batter will be awarded first base.  All forced runners advance one base.  Treat as umpire interference under rule 6.08 (d).  If a thrown ball hits a coach on the mound, it remains alive and in play.
  13. Coaches allowed on the field at all times, including defense.
  14. If there are no official umpires the coaches will need to agree on disputed calls.  If the coaches cannot agree, please default to safe.
  15. Home team is responsible for lining and raking the field before the game and visiting team is responsible for raking the field after the game.
